Hello ljhpsauce. Welcome to the Gas Appliances topic and the Do-It-Yourself Web Site.

Not familiar with that brand of appliance. However, the symptom indicates that safety element isn't sensing the heat of the flame. As a result the burner shuts down.

Pushing in on the control knob bypasses the safety device to allow gas to come out until the safety element is heated enough to keep the safety open on it's own.

Best advice I can offer based upon the problem description and how the oven is likely to operate, would be to first be sure the flames impinge on the safety element. If they are then next possible solution would be to replace the safety element. Hope this helps.

Retail appliance parts dealers can also help determine what the possible problem may be also. They will need the make, model an serial numbers. Appliance parts dealers are an excellent source for original replacement parts. Dealers are listed in the phone book under appliances.

If and or when you attempt any repairs, "Be sure the electrical power to the appliance is turned off, before attempting any repairs. Always check for gas leaks whenever the appliance is moved and/or a repair includes any connection of a gas part."
