I would like to paint my dining room chairs. I would like to paint them red but having them look old or an :thinker: antique look to them. I am not sure where to start.

If you want an antique look, paint a base coat on the chairs (whatever color you want) and then paint red on top. You can then sand down select areas to expose the underlying color or even the bare wood to simulate 'wear'. Once you achieve the effect you want, spray the chairs with a clear sealer (a polycrylic for example) to protect your work.
