My next door neighbor has got a problem with wasps. They seem to hang around the boiler extraction pipe in the garden and are there when the boiler is on but disappear when it's off. It's a new boiler and all we can think of is that they are after the condensed water that forms on the inside of the pipe.

If you leave a dish of water out for them to drink, that might keep them away from the pipe.
Or it could be that they are there because of the carbon dioxide, much like mosquitos? Or since it's a new boiler maybe they're just curious about who put a pipe in their garden and eventually the novelty will wear off.
