John here saying hi from the LA area. Stumbled onto the DIYforums and look forward to contributing to the discussion. I'm a big fan of renewable technologies and involved in some great things being done with solar.

How's it going? This is my first day here, I am from Southern Cal also..around Pasadena. My wife and I just bought our first house and it is a bit of a fixer upper, so here I am...in addition to killing some of my work day :D
