Can someone please explain how I can get a full screen picture on my TV when using anHDMI cable from the cable box to TV.
When using component cables I have no problem.
I Know I can zoom but then the picture is distorted.
Do I have to live with the black bars on top and bottom of picture to Get HI DEF picture while watching TV?
Thanks to anyone who can help.

Check the cable box menu settings and make sure they match the TV's.
Or you could stay with the component cables. IMO, you don't gain a whole lot with HDMI, and it can be a royal pain to get it to work properly in some setups.
Of course, with component you have to run separate audio lines to the TV as well.
