Similar to my previous post, I'm installing a 36in bi-fold closet door. The opening will be drywalled and once complete will have trim around the outside in order to hide the door gaps and allow for clean baseboard installation. What size opening is recommended?

I think if you check, bifold doors are 1/2" less in width than the actual printed size on the packaging. You should plan a finished opening of the size of the door you are installing, allowing for the thickness of the drywall or the wood jamb, whichever you are using.
