I need to replace the points and condensor in a Tecumseh Eager 1 engine. Model # 143.661052. Its on an Craftsman edger Model 536.870542. I would like to put an electronic ignition instead of points. I was looking at the Nova or Nova ll. I spoke with the place I get my parts from and he was unsure it it would work. He did give the Tecumseh type number but left that on my desk at work. It is an H30 model. Does anyone know if Nova will work and if so which one should I use Nova or Nova ll. Thanks

Thanks for the help. Does anyone no what the difference is between the Nova and Nova ll. As far as I can tell the Nova ll is smaller.

The only difference I know of is the smaller design, I only used the Nova because it was old stock and we didn't have a Nova II.

Thanks. I was unable to find the difference. I even called Rotary Corp and they had no idea of the difference other then the Nova is self grounding and the Nova ll has a grounding wire.
