Bought an old brick house...it has old metal shutters way long gone rusted out... they had them painted white and it ran down the brick. Want to replace shutters with new black vinyl set but that will make the white run off stains stand out even more and of course it is on the very front my house facing the street :o In the past have tried some paint remover for brick with a hard bristle brush with no effect...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

mtls ( google franmar ) which'll solve your dilemma,,, won't attack the mortar's lime, either,,, or you could just wait 40 yrs.
