i'm trying to rebuild the carb on a Sears Craftman Model 358.796930 leafblower. Any one know the correct carb rebuild kit or the type of carb it has. I've been to the sears website but it lists sears reference data without saying what type of carb/rebuild kit. thanks

What site have you been trying to use to find parts? I found this info:

carb #530-035196
carb repair kit #530035199 $13.52
carb gasket/diaphragm kit #530068944 $11.99

what i need to find out is what is the aftermarket kit i need . the sears numbers don't tell me if this is a walbro type carb and what gasket kit to order. I don't want to buy from sears unless i have to. i need cross reference info

just write down the part numbers and take it to a repair shop and they will give you the kit. the kit comes with everything needed including the diaphragm. its most likely a walbro part and the leaf blower was made by poulan for sears. part number 530035199

You should be able to take the numbers stamped on the carb along with the model number (it may even say on the carb itself walbro) of the unit and go to a Small engine shop. These small engines are very common. Also, you may want to be careful of what "aftermarket" kit you get. I've had a lot of A/M kits end up being junk and have had to replace with an O.E.M kit anyway.. just my 2 cents.
