After self cleaning the oven, the oven won't turn on. A message keeps displaying " Unlock Door". The door is unlocked opens fine. I've tried to run another self clean cycle, I've tried unplugging it for a day, the door latches closed and unlatches fine, any suggestions? :wall:

Hello pittfan. Welcome to the Gas Appliances topic.
Very possible the tiny electrical micro switch on the door lock mechanism is not opening to break the electrical connection. Which would allow the oven to operate and remove the display message.
You're likely going to have to remove the front panel just above the door and manually release the micro switch and or door locking device.
However, try this first. Be sure the door lock lever is straight in line. Not even slightly bent. Moves fully to both sides. Door may open but not release the locking device enough to open the tiny switch. A common problem.
Be sure the electrical power to the appliance is off before attempting the fix.

Thank you Sharp Advice. I'll try anything at this point. Warranty ran out a few months back and I'm stuck with it.

Thanks again Sharp Advise. It was a bad micro switch. Put a continuity tester to it and it stayed closed even when i disengaged it manually. Removed the yellow wire and broke continuity. I insulated the end of the wire until I can pick up a new one. The wife is hoping I wait a few days, she enjoyed eating out every night.
