We are looking to expand our kitchen into the garage, which will involve raising the concrete floor in the garage to the level of the kitchen floor. I am trying to avoid pouring concrete to do this and have come up with the idea of using 2"x4" concrete blocks with plywood on top and then the tile layed on top of that. Does anyone know of a method of securing the concrete blocks to the concrete slab? Thanks.

work for your method,,, don't worry if its long lasting as gravity'll keep your floor in place,,, you've already done a moisture test, right ?,,, doubt i'd do it this way w/o addl work if it were my house, tho.
