The wiring from the ceiling is black, white, and red. The wiring from the fan is blue, black, and white, with two green wires connected by one end to the fan-bracket. I want to turn the light on with the light switch, and turn the fan on and off with the pull-chain. Please tell me how to wire it.
Thank you

It depends on how the switch or switches are wired. If there is only one switch connect the white to white, red to blue, black to black. and green to bare.

Try the light switch. if it operates the fan instead of the light then swap the red and black wire connections.

On the fan blue is the light, black is the fan, white is the common/neutral and green is the ground.

I connected the black and blue from the fan to the red from the ceiling, and it works like I want it to, but now I have an unused black wire coming from the ceiling, and the two green ones that are both connected to the fan part that aren't connected to anything. Also, there is another bare wire from the ceiling, and I cannot tell what color it is.

Cap the unused black wire with a wire nut. Connect all the green and bare wires together. They are the ground wires.
When you say bare, do you mean no insulation? Those are ground wires.
