Hi all:
I'm installing a new wood stove in my living room as a supplement to my oil furnace. I have studied the info on clearances and such but am having a hard time deciding on what to use for sheilding. I would like to use something somewhat decorative so would prefer not to use regular tin. I am thinking of using metal roofing material as it comes in a lot of different colors but can't find info on its fireproof qualities. Does anyone have info on this or an alternate suggestion?

Welcome to the forums!

I don't know for sure but I would think that the factory paint on the roof metal wouldn't hold up to the heat.

You could paint regular metal with heat resistant paint but it may still blister close to the flue.
