I have a timberman 45 with 18 " bar. It wont keep running. when I go to prime it, the bubble wont fill up. I took it apart and switched the gas lines on the primer. with them switched, when I pump it gas pumps out quite well. when I put them back I dont get much gas at all. the saw will run until it uses up the little bit of gas I have put in the carb using the primer. is there a check valve of some sorts in the primer that might not be working?

If memory serves...there is a check valve inside the carb.If your saw has the carb. that I think it does on it one part of the carb.is plastic. This is where the clog is,ether in the check valve (which is a piece of rubbor, red in color and about the size of a dime),or in one of the neighboring holes. In ether case you need to clean the carburetor.
And if the location fuel lines has never been changed until now you need to switch the back.

The restriction is in the carb. Take it off and clean it, especially the small screen at the fuel inlet.
