I assume by "bust my power", you mean you're trying to get more power?

Rebuild it. Do a proper valve job. Jet the carb. Shave the head. Modify/tune the exhaust. Increase RPM.

I have done this before with success. Remove the head
gasket, and in its place, paint on some Indian Head Gasket
shellac, then tighten the bolts, run it till hot, then snug them some more, check for leaks. It raises the compression
ratio pretty good. Advance the timing a hair too. Play around with it some, with investing little $$$.

I am assuming you are modifying it for speed or power,
like a pulling tractor?
