I have 5/8" X 3-3/4" solid bamboo floors installed. At the doorway to our bathroom, the bamboo meets our tile which is slightly lower than the bamboo. I installed a reducer at the doorway that looked great. However, not long afterwards, we started experiencing some buckling in the bamboo floors directly across from the reducer. The reducer fit between the tile and the bamboo extremely snugly. Is the buckling due to the lack of expansion room in the reducer transition? If so, how do you recommend solving this issue?
