On one of the windows in my home there is open space between the wood trim and brick.

Should I be concerned about the space? If yes, what is the best way to correct.

Windows should always be caulked to the brick but that seems a bit extreme. Maybe stuff some mortar in there first.

I'd be concerned. That is just a big leak!
As I scroll down in the picture I see another window in the background that is properly trimmed. Do the same thing with this window. You might have to use different size material, but seal the one edge against the brick and the other against the window frame or whatever is there.
