If you just had a contractor replace the ignitor and it's giving you problems call them back on it.

Sequence should be on a call for heat.
1.exhaust blower comes on "if applicable"
2. ignitor lights pilot or in the case of a hot surface ignitor the burners light.
3. main burners kick on.
4. house blower comes on.
