Hope someone out there has some advice...

I have a Kenmore Self Clean Gas oven, Mod # 790.73771100, serial# VF10710613.
The Display has gone out, no clock, cannot turn "On" oven, all controlled through Display or Control Panel ??
Weird thing is, lower warming drawer still turns on, light inside oven works, and stove top burners all work, including electric start...(clicks a few times & burner lights right up)
Have left entire oven unplugged all day (Normal 110 plug, three prong, including ground prong)
Burners work, Display is out.
Can I replace the "Control Panel"
Any suggestions ???

Hello graveyardblues and Welcome to the Do It Yourself Web Site and to the Gas Appliances topic.

Based upon the problem description, two possible causes. The control panel circuit board is defective. Or the display panel is defective. Replacement of the componet(s) will be required.

Check with the local appliances parts stores. They can also help determine what the possible problem may be based upon that specific brand and model. Bring the make, model and serial numbers. Dealers and appliances parts stores are listed in the phone book.

Cautionary Reminder Note:
Before attempting any repairs, be sure to unplug the appliance from the wall receptacle power source first.
