I have a 2 1/2 year old lennox and out of the blue 2 nights ago it quit working, i took off the bottom cover and put it back on and it bagan to work again, it did the same thing last night, worked all day and then at night stopped, did the same thing this morning with the cover and it worked again, what may be causing this? Help please its cold up here at night...

Could possibly be an intermittent open circuit in the blower door safety switch. With the power off, you could remove the switch and 'jump' the terminals, then put the door back.

If it runs without interruption, replace the switch.

sounds like the system is locking out on you for some reason.. How's the air filter? No blocked vents?

There should be a LED light that you may be able to see in a small window on the blower door. The LED may be flashing an Error Code.

What's happing when you take the lower door off, you are removing power and it resets the lock out control
