I have an old shower, without a tub, I am going to remodel in about a year. In the meantime, can I paint the old shower enclosure and bottom basin with some kind of paint just to clean it up?
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the forums!
Generally it is a bad idea to paint a shower stall, an even worse idea to paint the floor.
What type of material is on the shower walls?
I dated a girl back in the early '80's and her father had a mobile home with rough looking bath room. She wanted to fix it up for him but didn't have much money. I used an oil base enamel [2 coats] on the trailer masonite type shower/tub walls. I didn't expect it to last more than 6 months but a year later it still looked ok.
