What a pain to find a replacement 1/4 hp direct drive motor for my Sears Homart '60s something furnace blower fan. I ordered the part from Sears that matched a diagram they actually had on their on-line parts store but the one they sent has no attachment bracket, and is a 3 speed (probably no big deal if I get the wiring right). They said it what the factory specs said for the only replacement. Guess I loose my shipping cost on that one but they will take it back.
Anyone encountered this issue? Ideas? Luckly I have an auxilary gas fireplace heater.

I know it is too late to tell you this now but depending on where you live there should be a hvac supply house or motor shop that you could have taken out the motor and taken it to them they could have matched it up and any mounting issues could have been resolved by the use of a variety of after market universal mounting brackets

It turns out that it all went together ealily with an adapter kit from my local hvac supplier.
Everthing worked except that now gas valve on the furnace is severely leaky, just a small fire-ball when I lit the pilot! New thread?
