Hi guys just picked up a Wait 5000 (may trade it in for a 6000 if you guys think its worth it) at the home depot. Read through the manual, watched the install video, and now still have a couple of questions. It says to mount the unit on the cold return and the flex hose on the hot side, AND IT SHOULD BE PARALLEL. If I mount it parallel then my A coil from my air conditioner will be in the way, (says could dammage the coil to mount it in front of it), so I will have to offset it about 2 inches, will that matter that much? Also, says the unit needs to be hooked up to 24V and provides the transformer for a 120V A/C outlet, can I not just pick up 24 V from the furnace board, and if so where in there should I be looking. The furnace is a Lennox and 1 year old, it has terminals labelelled HUM that are empty, is that what it was intended for? I also have an electronic air cleaner that is installed and working, will the HUM have any effect on that unit? Last question, does it matter if I hook the water supply line to the hot or cold piping?

I think thats it for now, thanks in advance for your assistance.

Never heard of this brand.. I work at HD, and only have Honeywell, unless it's a area thing. I'll have to look it up later on.. (don't have time now)

That is fine, a couple of inches won't hurt.

What's the full model # of the furnace, it may be 24 volts or may be 120volts.

Where do I find the model # of the furnace?

Thanks

Ok, that's why I've never heard of it.. Thanks for the link

Looks like the 6000 you won't need to wire it to the furnace, just plug it in.

The 5000 comes with a transformer that can be hard wired if it turns out your model is 120 volt, or no transformer if it's 24volts on the board.

Take the main panel off and should be a stick inside on the right or left hand side with the info of the furnace.

I was not able to pull up a manual on line for this model.. You will have to help me.

You'll have to look on the board itself, otherwise, you can take a photo of the wire diagram on the back of the blower door for me, and I can see what you got going there.

THanks Jay just having some camera issues but will attach the photo soon as I get it resolved. With that being said can I looked at how my EAC is connected and one wire goes to the EAC on the board the other goes to a location called "Neutral" can I not check with my meter between the "HUM" and the "Neutral" and see if I have 24V???
