I desire to replace a ceiling fan with a pool table light. The ceiling fan is controled by two switches - one for the light and one for the fan. There are two separate ceiling fans wired to the switches.

The ceiling fan is wired with the black wire to the black wire from the ceiling box, white wire to the white wire, red to red and the green wire from the fan to the bare wire in the box.

The pool table lighting fixture has three lights and a wire coming from each end of the fixture. The two wires have no markings and split down the middle. The split wire makes four separate wires to connect the lighting fixture.

I desire to wire the lighting fixture to the switch controling the lights on both my new pool table light and the existing ceiling fan.

Request a detailed wiring plan. Thanks.

Figure out which wire in the ceiling, the red one or the black one powers the light.

Connect that wire to the hot wires for the new light. Connect the white ceiling wire to the neutral wires for the lights. The neutral wires for the lights will be the ribbed or marked wires. The solid wires are the hot wires.
