Thermomist 2000

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a Thermomist 2000 installed, with a whole house reverse osmosis and sediment filters on the cold water line. The humidifier is operational (as in spraying a good mist constantly when heater is on and blowing at optimum temp). However, my house is still static galore. I have not yet measured using a hygrometer, but static is a good indicator, or not?? Any suggestions?

I had an AprilAire prior, and it did not do anything for the humidity level. I also have an AprilAire 2200 air cleaner on the return, in addition to the filter. May this be causing any issues?

Any help is appreciated!!

Thanks:wall:

Yikes...... Honestly, you couldn't pay me to have any type of misting system with top of line filter, trouble is wating to happen!

How often does it run, and avg run time? More info on the house itself. (age/drafty?)

Go to a store and pick up a good one from Radio Shack, or can get some from Target/Wal-Mart. But yeah if you are getting shock, that's a good sign.

I take it you no longer have it?

Air filter has nothing to do with the humidity.

Id get that spray humidifier out of there before you have to buy a new furnace. Id look at a Aprilaire 700 to do a good job there for you.
