When I turn on the light switch in my kitchen, one of the floodlights alternates being on and off every few minutes. What could be the cause?

Heat would be my first guess. It's probably too high a wattage bulb for the fixture.

Other possibilities include a bad thermal sensor in the light or a bad connection that is intermittent.

Or each light could have a photocell on them and are reacting to each others light and dark mode. Re aiming the photocell may help.

take an extension chord to each light (if they have plugs) and see if they stay on. if they do there may be a bad circuit breaker that is making bad contacts at the fuse panel., do this for each lamp to make sure its not the sockets heating up too much
