i would like to replace existing solid wood doors with metal ones (2) going out of basement. The existing doors were cut to fit and structural integrity was lost where the doorknob and latch are. Nothing to screw latch plate to on door, so a very loose fitting seal. Problem seems to be i cant find steel doors measuring 78 1/4 x 35 1/2. Should i stick to wood or can the metal doors be made to fit somehow.
