I am about to put up insulation on my garage door to assist in the coldness in the attached rooms. My family room is adjacent (that wall is insulated).

I am hoping that the garage then becomes workable in the winter months as my workbench is there.

Has anyone done this and did it in fact make it more comfortable. If I could get 10 degrees I would be happy..

Are your other 2 exterior walls insulated?? If not that would be better. Also insulate your ceiling! Do you have storage above??
My dads garage is atleast 65-70 all winter! Of course he has a coal/wood furnace w/ a blower in there but if you insulate it really good and buy a torpedo heater you'll be happy!! He has styrofoam ins. on the ceiling w/ the storage above, and the rest is fiberglass. His doors are not insulated but they are wll sealed.
