I am changing my electric range over to a natural gas range. Can I tee of the 3/8" OD gas line that feeds my gas dyer. Will This supply the 4" water colum pressure I need???
Thanks

I would not recommend teeing off that 3/8 line to supply the range. Chances are you will not the desired gas flow, causing low flames at a minimum.
Just short of getting a sizing chart out, you are likely going to need a minimum of 1/2 inch (ID) iron pipe.
If you could post exactly how far it is from the meter to the range I could give you a more definitive answer.

Tahnks for the reply.
I all ready did it and the range works fine. Could not wait to long as our old elec range burned out. (wife needed it now) I am planning on changing the lines over when I get more time. I turned on the dyer and the range at the same time and both worked fine for now. Going to change it in the future as to I dont know what the codes are in our area for future posible sale of home.

Although everything may "appear" to work fine, the proof is in preforming a flow test. Chances are with the set up you're describing, you're not getting sufficient flow with everything running.

Its about 35 total feet from the meter . 20 of that is 3/8 OD.
the tee is about 7-8 feet from range.
Thanks
