My partner and i are having a two storey extension built and want to know where we will find out where the utility pipes run under the house, i know that you can't build in top of a gas pipe.Any suggestions

Id check with code there as to what you can build over a Gas line.

Gas pipes and others can be moved, or put through the new foundation. Its a minor detail.

dig #,,, to proceed w/o having utilities mark'd is illegal anywhere,,, your gc already knows this, too.
