Bricks, Masonry, Asphalt and Concrete - Concrete slab for Heating pump...help!

I am buying a house in a couple weeks. The 2.5 ton gas/air unit is going to be replaced. The concrete slab needs to be raised 1.5" on the front end as it has tipped. I am being told insead of lifting the 4x4' 6" thick slab, just re-frame it and add new concrete to level it out is as the dirt is settled. 1st off it is 37-45 degrees now and pouring new concreat on the old may not stick together. Should I drill holes in the old concrete slab so the new concrete goes in there or should I used some type of reinforcment? Again, it only has to be raised 1.5". Thanks for any help!:thumbup:

Might check at a supply house like Johnstone supply. We now use a ultralite condensing pad. You can just put this on top of what you have and shim it level.;) ;)

I've also seen them "not sure if it's the same brand" but they have adjustable legs.

Use a wrecking bar and raise it up and fill underneath it, a 4 x 4 slab is not that heavy.
