The current subheading for this topic is: Composting, xeriscaping, and sustainable gardening. Water Conservation in the landscape is becoming ever more important. What I am observing in our Gardening and Lanscape Forums is what appears to be a general lack of awareness and/or a lack concern about the Water Conservation in the landscape.

Planting and landscaping plans should take into consideration the impact on Water Conservation and the use of chemicals and pesticides in the landscape. It would be beneficial to our readership to have compiled a list of gardening and landscaping techniques that can be a resource for green landscapers and gardners. Concerns about human and environmental health are of the utmost importance.

We hope that you share your knowledge with our readership and share any references that you feel that would be beneficial.
