i have 2 "reach in" closets along the same wall in my apt. and they are separated by a wall. the wall is separated and then gets smaller to create a doorway with a door attached. i am looking to take down this wall in the closet to expand the closet , and then knock out the doorway- of course taking out the unnecessary door....i hope this makes sense....
i know it is an easy project- just unsure once i start knocking out the wall...how to go about patching it up! anyone out there to help??

Welcome to the forums! One word in your OP worries me. The word "apartment". If you don't own it, don't modify it. You will need to determine if this is a load bearing wall or not, and a quick look in the attic will tell you which way the ceiling joists are running. If this wall is in the middle of the dwelling, and the joists run over it, then it is most likely load bearing and you can't remove it. In addition, if this is a multiple story unit, alot of load can be bearing there.
