Hope this is the right forum for this.
We are looking into installing this. I still have several questions about it though. Like dose anyone have it? If so how much of a defrence has it made in your bills? Also has anyone tried installing this your self?

I'm looking into spray foam insulation for the log house I'll be building in a few months. There are several companies that offer do-it-yourself kits. The one I'm most interested in is called Handi-Foam (www.foampower.com). The R value is advertised as around 7 per inch of thickness, meaning that you can get a lot more than the typical R-13 in a 2x4 wall.

Since the foam is kind've expensive, I've also seen it recommended to apply only an inch or so to seal any drafts and then use regular fiberglass insulation on top of it.

I just visited that site with high expectations of being able to buy this foam and install it ourselves and not pay someone to do it. Well, a 605 board feet unit (it's actually square feet, not sure why they are calling it board feet) cost $665, making it $1.10 a square foot/inch. Right now I'm paying $0.85 for someone else to do it professionally. So I'd pay more per square foot of this stuff and it doesn't even cover labor or shipping. Bottom line is I'd get a price quote from a pro before I'd spend a bunch of money of this foam. It'd be nice if it were quite a bit cheaper for the average homeowner to be able to buy and apply it economically.

Thanks for the info. I haven't yet looked into having a pro do the foam for me. I would've expected DIY to be cheaper.

Well, because a board foot is 1 ft x 1 ft x 1 in. thick. If you want it on 2 inches thick it will only cover 302.5 sq feet. For 3 inches thick, about 201 sq feet.
