Hi
I have a water softener I would like to completely replace.
On the valve assembly, there are the 2 main IN and OUT connections. Immediately under the connections (6 oclock position) there is a connection that looks like it runs to the rest of the house. The OUT connector runs to a hose bib on the outside.
All the softeners I've looked at have only the 2 connections.
Is this just a splitter within the valve body?

Not sure I totally understand the layout, but it would not be unusual for there to be some provision for the water supply to the outside faucets to be un-softened (saves money not watering the lawn with softened water).
