I am about to replace an old HeatPump A/C system (+20 years old and leaks).

I have had two companies recommend the same solution DAIKIN RZQ160KVA4A which has a power rating of 15.5kw(cool) & 16.3KW(Heat). The unit is a single phase power supply, which means extra cost to install single phase because the old HP used 3 phase.

The other option is for a Panasonic CU-F50DD1E5 which has a lower power rating 14kw(cool) and the same as the Daikin for heat, 16KW. It is 3-phase so no additional cost there and is is about 15% cheaper to purchase and have installed.

Which one will work for me? Will the 1.5 KW make a difference? Is there any advantage in having a 3 phase solution over a single phase?
