I have a Culligan Mark 89 that moved with me to NY about 4 years ago. Had pro installation, new beads, and had to buy a new salt tank (old talk lost in the move). Recently, there has been no water conditioning. Troubleshooting leads me to the brine valve. H2O can go in, but does not seem to allow brine to go to the softener. I have disassembled the entire valve/float, and find nothing broken, worn, or otherwise out of order. I was checking the valve by blowing into the inlet,… no resistance inward with the float down, full resistance with float up – now on the sucking try,… full resistance with the valve in either position. Am I missing something here?? The brine should flow on the suction of the valve, correct? Help me out here,.. what next? New float valve? Can I get this online somewhere? Any help is appreciated.
