Hi guys,
Ive got an old admiral washing machine..model # AP44000...ser # CF4404990 , had full plans on getting rid of next month but I had to put in a new furnace so im a little tapped for about a month. Problem is the agitater is not spinning in the wash cycle.
The bottom part is turning ok but the long stem part is completely loose, you can spin it both ways by hand almost as if it became unhooked from the bottom. The last time i had someone in to fix it they were here for 10 minutes and charged me close to 200 bucks. Is there a way to fix this bymyself to last maybe a month till I get a new unit. Like i said the bottom still spins but it is not enough to get a load mixing inside without that arm spinning.
Thanks for your time......Len

That model is not coming up for me but it sounds like you just need to replace the complete agitator you must have overloaded it 1 too many times...
