we moved in to a new house with alarm installed on it. can anyone tell me what type of alarm is this and how can i reset it.

I tried the procedure for dsc1655 to short zone 1 and pgm1 but it didn't work. i tried the installer code 1555 and 5555 but it didn't accept it.

anyone also has an idea on where i can download a manual for this.

thank you very much.

here is the link for the picture:

Power it down and then power up, listening carefully at the system board. If you hear about 10 clicks from one of the relays, it means that the installer lockout feature was set, and your attempt at hardware default reset every thing _except_ the installer code.

Run a websearch using the phrase: "DSC PC-1565 installer manual" and you should get a few free downloads, it was a semi-common system.

Thank you very much MrRonFL

My hardware reset was succesful...... the only problem that I encountered is the installer code because the default "5555" and "1555" didn't work...... not to think it's only "1565"

I have downloaded a manual but I can't seem to understand how to create a general access code.... after [5] what should i press?

I want to use also the [1] to bypass individual zone. For example I just want to bypass only zone 3. So do I need to set zone 3 as 05 or 06 in 001. Does it mean when I activate [1] I just use stay arm and away arm?

Anybody? Thanks in advance. :)

If 1565 works, that just means it's one of the oldest models.
There aren't many other significant changes.

For things like user codes, you also need the user manual.

"To program the Master Code, enter [5][current Master Code][40][new Master Code]. The Master Code must be four digits long, unless otherwise indicated by your installer. Enter digits 0 through 9 only. Press [#] to return to the Ready state."

For bypassing: *1 [zone number(s)]#
