hi guys, great forum here, lotta great infos..
we have a new rowhouse with the furnace in a tiny closet, i read its best to put the humidifier on the cold air return with the bypass to the hot air supply..
it would be an aprilaire 600 in manual mode onto the carrier 58sta with 24v hum terminal...

Looks like you may have room on the return drop.. The unit needs a cut out of 9 3/4" wide.
I can't really tell, but on the right side of the return is the wall tight up to it, or is there some space between it?

THANK YOU JAY!!
your dedication to support this forum keeps it alive
thanks for the excellent support :)
squeezed it onto the return drop with overhang, moved the exhaust vent over
had to put the humidstat on the ceiling return, but that shouldnt be a problem right? (its like 18" away)

Looks good!
How far are you away from the exhaust pipe with the PVC drain?
Also, how far are you from the exhaust pipe with the A/C line's black insuation?

Should be OK with you got there.. Just as long they don't touch and melt.
Also I forgot to bring up, why do you have the solenoid valve off the humidifier itself?
