I plan on installing 3/4 prefinished hardwood floors in a master bedroom. Here is my problem. I live in Minnesota and currently the temperatures are really low as well as the humidity. Come August the reverse will be the extreme opposite. Is there any benefit to running a humidifer in the room during the acclimatization/install process to minimize the effects of expansion this summer?
Another note, our home is heated with electric baseboard heating so after the install the humidity level is still going to be quite low until summer comes.
I really don't want to have any buckling. Any thoughts would be great.

If you know the shrink and swell coffiecient of the species of wood, you take a moisture reading of the wood and calculat the gap left in each row. That way when the floor swells in the spring and summer, it will not buckle.
