Hi,
I was just wondering if I can wire up this humidifier without using a sail switch so that it turns on when the fan turns on and not just when the furnace kicks in?

Yes, you may be able to put the humidifier on the furnace's control board.
I am going to need the full model #
You may have 24 volts HUM on the board or 120volts.

So the HUM on the control board will kick in when the fan turns on as opposed to when the furnace/heat turns on?

HUM will turn on when there call for heat.. If you really do feel that you need it to run it with the blower itself, then Look for EAC or ACC.
I had mine set up to run any time the blower itself or force the blower itself on really didn't help much.. Just more water wasted.

It's a G40UH series furnace and it has both a HUM(110V) and an EAC(110V) connection point. So you're saying if I want it to run any time the blower kicks hook it up to EAC with the use of a 24VAC transformer, and if I want it to only kick in when there is a call for heat to hook up to HUM also with the use of a 24VAC transformer? Thanks again for your help.

One other question that I have is the wiring diagram for the humidifier shows that if I hook it up to 110V on the circuit board (which both HUM and EAC are) the Hot goes to an On/Off switch and then to the transformer. Is this On/Off something that I have to install or is it internal to the furnace?

I'm not sure why the are showing that?? That is the first time I've ever seen such thing.
It's something you can install, But I wouldn't worry about it. I think they are doing it so you can turn it off in the summer??
