Back in November, I bought a Whirlpool Electric Dryer (WED8500SR) from an internet company
and had it shipped from Montana to Virginia. When it first came in, I accepted delivery since a
quick look at all four panels did not reveal any damage. However, weeks later when I went to install
at as a stackable dryer, I noticed that the bottom-right portion of the baser had been crushed in
during delivery (mostly on the bottom, thus the reason I could not see the damage). Since so much time went by between delivery and detection, the shipping company
and delivery company will not take responsibility for the damage, so now I am forced to attempt
to repair it myself. The following items need to be replaced: base panel, back panel and right panel.

Does anyone have recommendations on the best approach for this repair? In taking a quick look at the unit,
it looks like these panels support parts of the drum itself, plus the numerous screws that hold the panels in place.

Any help, documentation or information would be greatly appreciated.

Until you get the response you are hoping for -

I have seen some of the other regular poster here bring up sites that show exploded views.

But if you are handy, you can remove screws and replace the panels after noting how everything came apart. Mechanically inclined people can do that. It is so time- consuming to often try to decipher diagrams clearly and read all the how-to instructions, when you simply can just look and see. Today we have digital cameras which can help in the reassembly process.

[ I never went to dryer school, and I simply got brave and started taking them apart into pieces to where all I had standing was the empty shell, and was able to reassemble it after fixing the (various)problem(s).]
