Should the drain pump push water in surges or in a steady flow?
The pump is operational and the water is pushed out. Is this a sign that the pump is going to fail soon?
Thanks!

At first, when the washer is full the drain pump should be a steady flow. When the washer is empty and the pump is "cavitating" it will spit water out in spurts.
Remove the lower panel and check the drain pump screen for blockage.

Thanks Doug. I cleared the screen and inspected the impellers. Nothing is blocking.
I've been running the test cycle, so I don't know how much water is used, but I'll check on the next load of laundry.
