Greetings from very snowy New Hampshire,
We recently moved into a mobile home for the first time. For Just the wife & I we need a smaller than conventional 3.2 toploader. We are not afraid to spend to get a good one. Even if a front loader were feasable, weight is still an issue in these mobile homes (a bit older mobile home). So we are leaning to a good reliable smaller top loader with a smaller capacity. I'v searched the internet for ideas but have come up empty. I must admit I am no pc wizard. I just couldn't find them. Thanks for any ideas and Happy New Year ro all who use this wonderful forum.

Unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot of options in your situation. Whirlpool only carries one compact top-loader but I don't think it is built by them (not sure who it is built by). Here is a link:

GE carries the exact same washer with a GE name on it:

There is a smaller washer that Whirlpool makes that is not as wide as a conventional 27 in. washer. It is about 24 inches wide. Here is a link from Lowe's:

Here is a link to Whirlpool's site on this washer:

This washer would be a more reliable, easier, cheaper to fix machine because it is a standard direct-drive Whirlpool washer.

Here is a cheaper version from Roper (Whirlpool built) with much less features:

In my opinion (if the direct drive Whirlpool/Roper machines fit in you space) these would be the better choice.

gdoug, thank you very much & happy new year. The link to the wtw5505sq seems to be a good choice for us. a bit more money than the same one below it, but it has a few more features such as water temp, lint catcher, and extra spin, that my wife said she needs. Thank you again for researching for me.
