Hi
I have 50 Gallon, Kenmore electric power miser 6 water heater,
it seems that it takes a long time to heat water,
if one person takes shower, and second one goes in shower after 30 minutes, the water is not hot enough, and third one gets cold water,
But if no one uses shower for about 2-3 hours then the water is hot again.
What may be the reason,
How to fix it
I am not sure how old this water heater is as i moved in this house 1 year ago

Pick one.....one of your elements, probably the bottom element is burned out.....one of the thermo switches on the side of the tank have gone south....your dip tube is compromised. Do you have the ability and an ohmmeter to check out the elements? Fill us in on what you want to attempt.

Hi
Which is the most probable cause, can start looking from there, i have a mulitmeter which i can use as ohmmeter,
Can i find if this water heater is under warranty, i think it is purchased from sears, as there is a sears sticker on it
