In the middle of the night in AZ (about 56 degrees) the heat just quit. The blower turns on and I have swapped out the thermostat so that is not the problem. Everything operates like it should except it does not blow heat. The unit is 2 years old the company that installed it is out of biz. it appears that it does not have a heat kit installed in it. I am guessing that the operation of the unit in moderately cold areas (such as AZ) does not require the additional heating kit. None the less, I had heat last year and 3 days this year then poof.
Thanks,
James

it could be several things , possibly refrigerant charge , contactor , capacitor, can you tell if the compressor is running?

It sounds like the compressor kicks on as the there is 2 stages when it comes on, starts blowing, then a second power draw (a few seconds later and lights dim a bit) and it sounds like it is heating (like usual) but no heat.
