Hi

I'm looking at installing wardrobes that are very similar to the ones that california closets or poliform. Does anyone have plans for these systems?

Thanks

I saw a DIY show awhile back that used www.easyclosets.com. I am planning on doing the same thing with one of my closets soon and was planning on using easy closets. It looks similar to CA closets but is completely do it yourself and you can design it any way you want.

Great idea on using EasyClosets.com.

I install closet organizers professionally, and among other brands, have used EasyClosets in the past. Their laminate boards and hardware quality are completely equal to bigger names like CC and Closetmaid.

They have a nice interactive design tool on their website, and will generate your cost right then.

MOST IMPORTANTLY- When measuring your own closet to input into the design program, be very, very cautious. Since EasyClosets cuts all of your shelves and materials EXACTLY to the size of your design, and they custom pre-drill for all the camlocks, cutting them down wont work. You must not be too wide on your width(wall to wall) dimensions.
FIRST, Be sure to measure wall to wall along the back wall at the top(84" up), middle, and bottom(12" up).
SECOND, come away from the back wall 14", and measure the widths again.
Use the smallest width in the design program.
Sounds like a pain now, but the alternative later is worse.

The installation instructions are very well illustrated, explained and very easy to follow. They include everything needed for installation, except the tools. EasyClosets is also a wall-hanging type mounting system, so be sure to use the supplied wall anchors, or better yet, buy a stud sensor.
