Hi,
On an outside wall of our basement, the previous owner had put up drywall without any vapor barrier behind the wall. So my concern is the warm, moist air from the room being drawn to the cold concrete blocks of the foundation and condensing there.
I need to paint this wall, is there a type of paint that provides an effective vapor barrier to help alleviate this issue?
Thanks,
Bob
EDIT: I just did a Google search and see there are specific primers for vapor barrier application. So I'm off to my B-M store to pick some up!

Paint can serve as a vapor barrier. There is paint manufactured specifically for this purpose as well. Here is a discussion on the effect of coats of paint as vapor barrier in existing construction. Take a look at the bottom third of the page.

Yes, Ben Moore has a latex primer/sealer specifically for use as a vapor barrier use
Also, any oil/alkyd primer makes an effective vapor barrier
