I moved into a home without the master code. With searches on this forum, I have been able to eliminate a few errors, but still have a couple problems. I now have the installer code and master code.
I have replaced the battery, set the time.
I have followed the steps to disable to TLM and the communicator.
When I press *2, light 4 is still on.
Also, when in ready mode, the system light is orange.
The only other problem I'm aware of is the siren wire has been cut.
There is a green and a yellow that appears to have been connected to it, but the siren has a red, white, and a yellow coming off it. Anyone know which color should connect to what? Could this be what is causing my system light to be orange? and do u know how I can clear the communication error?

I have gone into programming.
*8 Installer Code 380 then 1 to disable communcation then #, then 015 and 7 to disable TLM then ##
run system test
*6 Master Code 4, it tests system and goes right back to having #4 error
Anyone know what I'm missing here?
Do I need to disable anything else?

One of the quirks of DSC panels, is that the communication error will not clear until you fully power down and restart the system (after turning off the dialer in section 380).

will powering down the system by disconnecting the AC and the battery, will it impact any of the access codes or settings?
Do i just disconnect the battery, then the AC, and plug it right back in? Or do I need to wait a certain amount of time to plug it back in?

The codes and settings are in an eeprom, which will not erase if you powered it down for a decade. The only thing you will have to reset is the system time.

Yes disconnect battery then AC power, go get a drink of water, then reconnect in the opposite order.
